My Devotional Study Gives me Peace

This past summer I began a daily devotional by Sarah Young called Jesus Calling. A friend of mine shared with me that it was her favorite. I see why. I love the devotionals because it is a way to reflect on the day and find the link between life and the devotion I am reading. It's a great way to read the bible and learn more.

I read my devotion either in the morning or in the evening. Most often it's in the evening because I always hit the snooze button too many times every day. (I'm jealous of The Boss... he always gets up with the first alarm. Whatevs. Show off!)

I feel the warmth of God's love and peace when I am reading my devotional. I love this quiet time because it's the time I speak to him about anything that's on my heart. I talk to him as I am. It's a good cleansing of my emotions.

Now that I know how wonderful it is to read my devotion I plan to do this for the rest of my life. It has been a blessing.
