No Hogging Here, So Beat It

I know I pass up on high calories food every day, but more on weekends. There are just more food monsters. Now that I am more aware of what I eat, I realize food is every where. I wanted to see how much I pass up and write them down. It's like a reaffirmation that I am doing well. So here we go!

On Friday night, we had friends over for game night. We served homemade enchiladas, Mexican rice, and Charro beans. Usually this would be a hog meal for me. Instead, I ate like a normal person. I acted to be normal which is very hard for me. I ate two enchiladas, a half cup of rice and 1 cup of beans. I did have a small piece of cake rather then a chunky chunk of cake. To my surprise I was satisfied and not hungry. I saved about 1,000 calories compared to what I had eaten before.

My Monkey had friends over on Saturday. I fixed them sundaes which I quickly passed it up. I did want it. Instead I had a Frutare popsicle which is worth 60 calories. I saved 450 calories! Have you had a Frutare popsicle? It's a must-have. My fave kind are lime, mango, coconut and strawberry. Yum! Come to momma! Later that evening I went to the mall with a Fab friend. I had not been to a mall in like two years. My fave stores to shop at not in the mall. I didn't want you to think I was not a shopper. Wink. We went to Starbucks. I love their Lemon Loaf cake. I passed it up and only had a skinny sugar free Cinnamon Dolce. I saved 500 calories!

On Sunday we went to my super favorite Chinese Restaurant. For a while I  have passed up on the steam rice and egg rolls. I enjoyed chicken and vegetables and a cup of Egg Drop soup. I saved 700 calories! After lunch we went to a ice cream Shoppe. I passed up on my favorite flavor of the season, Pumpkin ice cream. When I got home I had an alternative, a sliced banana with some whipped cream. So good and satisfying! I save 350 calories!  That reminds me, I should make frozen fruit ice cream with my juicer.

This weekend I saved 3,000 calories! Wow. This was a great way to see what I am passing up. I am high fiving myself for a job well done. Not only did I save calories, I also saved myself from having a feeling of guilt. That is a BIG win!

This was a great way to look at things! Keep on fighting!
