Christmas Trifle Bowl Dressed Up

Christmas is my ultra fave holiday to decorate my home. There's this trifle bowl I have that only comes out at Christmas and it always wants to play dress up. I like to decorate it with things I already have. Now why haven't I made a layered salad or a trifle dessert?

Last year I added the pine branches I cut from the bottom of our Christmas tree and soaked them in water. I added real cranberries on top then added three floating tea light candles. Oh so pretty if I say so myself. I changed the water out once a week.

I didn't catch the cranberries on sale this year and I was up for something different. I have seen where they fill up a trifle bowl with ornaments. I wanted it a little different so I topped it off with a Santa hat. How adorable! I keep it right in front of the kitchen sink since I feel like I'm there non-stop. There's only one glitter bulb in the bowl and I made sure I could see it when I am at the dreaded sink. Smile.
