Me time makes me a better-in-the-moment mom and wife. Shortly after I had my Monkey, I realized "Whoa, this is some hard stuff right here." In between breast feedings which I had about an hour I would walk Target or run errands. I would come back refreshed. I knew this was something I had to do for myself. I have time for myself several times a month. I am glad my husband supports me in this. No one likes a grouch.
Me time is about what I like to do. I like to walk around Target with a Starbucks in hand or meet up with friends. These days I am also happy just by working out. I guess it is true we release a happy chemical. This is a great way for me to relieve stress. A lot of times I don't even leave the house. I can catch up on the latest Trisha Yearwood show or pin for a straight hour while drinking some hot tea and texting friends. I love to get creative too and make some of my pins come to life. As I grow wiser, I am always sure to release stress since it's such a killer for our soul and I want to keep my soul happy. Prayer is also my focus. I give my troubles to God and read my devotional.
Me time is about refilling your cup so you can give more of yourself. Go ahead get you some and smile about it.
