How to Make Roasted Radishes


In our search to keep our meals non-repetitive and always appealing. The Boss (husband) decided to roast radishes along with a roast in the crock pot. He LOVES radishes raw, I do not. I had him take the first bite. He "mmm" all the way home. The Boss was right. They are incredibly so good and a new favorite around here. 

Once they are cooked, the radishes are starchy and grab the flavor of the dish they are cooking in. I have also baked them along with a chicken in the oven. They turned out awesome. 

Roasted radishes are a must have! Once they are cooked, they do not have any radish flavor and even the bright red color disappears. 


Here's the How-to:

For two meals, I like to add 3 bushels to feed 6 servings. Be sure to rinse very well and cut off the stem. Just add it to your roast or chicken and let it cook the entire time.
